Privacy Policy

Effective Date: April 21, 2026  ·  Last Updated: April 21, 2026

The short version: PollWatt doesn't collect any personal data or phone home to its developer — no analytics, no crash reports, no tracking. All SNMP polling happens between your device and the UPS network cards you configure on your local network. Optional iCloud sync is described below.

Overview

PollWatt ("the App") is a native macOS, iOS, and iPadOS application that monitors UPS devices via SNMP on your local network. This privacy policy describes how the App handles information.

Information We Collect

PollWatt does not collect any personal information. The App does not:

Network Data

PollWatt communicates only with SNMP-enabled UPS devices on your local network that you configure within the App. All SNMP polling and data retrieval occurs locally between your Device and the UPS network card you configure, over UDP (typically port 161). No device information, power statistics, or UPS data are transmitted outside of your local environment.

No telemetry, usage data, crash reports, or diagnostics are transmitted to the App developer at any time.

Data Storage

Configuration data (device IP addresses, SNMP community strings, polling preferences, notes) is stored locally on your Device. Poll history and connection logs are held in memory only and reset on restart.

If you enable iCloud Sync, the following are optionally synced across your Apple devices via Apple services, in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy:

iCloud Sync can be disabled at any time in Settings → Sync. No configuration data or UPS statistics are ever transmitted to the App developer.

Third-Party Services

PollWatt does not integrate with any advertising networks, analytics platforms, crash reporters, or third-party cloud services — except for Apple's iCloud, which is used solely for optional configuration sync as described above, and solely when you opt in.

Children's Privacy

PollWatt does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in a future version of the App, the updated policy will be published at this URL and the "Last Updated" date above will be revised. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
